Clifford A. Free

Clifford is a native of Lindale, GA and is the son of Marble Burkhalter Free and the late Rev. Alvin Free. Clifford attended Pepperell, Midway and Cave Spring Elementary schools. In 1956, the family moved to Calhoun where he attended and graduated from Calhoun High School. Clifford began his Funeral Service career in 1957. He is a 1969 graduate of the Kentucky College of Mortuary Science and became a Georgia Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director in 1970. Clifford is an Ordained Baptist Minister and has pastored several churches in Gordon County. He is an avid fan of Southern Gospel Music and has sung with several quartets since 1956. While in high school he met and married the former Mary Rogers, they have one daughter, Carmen Green, and two granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Green. They reside in Calhoun and are members of the South Calhoun Baptist Church where Clifford serves as assistant Choir Director and Director of Seniors Ministry.
