James M. “Jamie” Hutcheson

Jamie is a native of Addison, Alabama and is the son of Phillip and Barbara Lee Hutcheson.  He began working in the funeral industry at the age of 17 while still in high school.  He graduated from Addison High School in 1992.  He then attended Northwest Community College in Phil Campbell, Alabama from 1992 until 1994.  Jamie graduated from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Funeral Service. He has been a licensed funeral director in the State of Alabama since 1995 and received his embalmer’s license for the State of Alabama in 1996.  Jamie moved to Rome in 1998, and at that time he received his funeral director’s and embalmer’s licenses in the State of Georgia also.  Jamie became a part of the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in March of 2000.  Jamie is married to the former Laura Hulsey from Buchanan and they have one daughter, Gracie Abigail.  He and Laura are members of the Truth and Life Ministries in Lindale where he serves as the youth minister.
