| Barry R. Henderson, President/CEO, Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer Email: Bhenderson@hendersonandsons.com Office Phone: (706) 234-5302 Fax: (706) 295-5000 A native of Floyd County, Barry is a 1978 graduate of Pepperell High School in Lindale. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University, where he was a member of the Gamecock Baseball Team and the Kappa Alpha Order. He received his Associate Degree in Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta in 1987 and was awarded The Bill Pierce Award. Barry has been licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in the State of Georgia since 1987. He serves on the Board of Directors for Greater Rome Bank here in Rome, is a member of the Rome Lions Club, is an alumnus of Leadership Rome, and serves as a community coach for varsity baseball at Darlington School. Barry is a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindale where he serves as a Deacon. Barry is married to the former Nancy Nelson and they have two sons, Wes and Garrett. |
| James M. (Jamie) Hutcheson, Manager, Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer Email: jhutcheson@hendersonandsons.com Office Phone: (706) 234-5302 Fax: (706) 295-5000 Jamie is a native of Addison, Alabama and is the son of Phillip and Barbara Lee Hutcheson of Addison. He graduated from Addison High School in 1992. He then attended Northwest Community College in Phil Campbell, Alabama from 1992 until 1994. Jamie graduated from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Funeral Service. He began working in the funeral industry at the age of 17 while still in high school. He has been a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Alabama since 1995 and received his embalmer’s license for the State of Alabama in 1996. Jamie moved to Rome in 1998 and at that time he received his Funeral Director’s and Embalmer’s licenses in the State of Georgia also. Jamie became a part of the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in March of 2000. He helps families with making funeral arrangements, directs funerals and prepares bodies for services. Jamie also assists in overseeing many of the day to day operations of the funeral home. Jamie is married to the former Laura Hulsey from Buchanan and they have one daughter, Gracie Abigail. He and Laura are members of Truth and Life Ministries in Cedartown where he serves as the youth minister. |

She attended University of North Alabama and Jacksonville State University. She worked in the banking industry for several years before joining the staff of Henderson & Sons Funeral Home in 1996. Nancy files insurance and veteran’s benefits for families as well as various other office jobs. She is married to Barry Henderson and they have two sons, Wes and Garrett. They are members of Lindale First Baptist Church. |
| Clifford A. Free, Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer Email: cfree@hendersonandsons.com Office Phone: (706) 234-5302 Fax: (706) 295-5000 Clifford is a native of Lindale, GA and is the son of the late Marble Burkhalter Free and the late Rev. Alvin Free. Clifford attended Pepperell, Midway and Cave Spring Elementary schools. In 1956, the family moved to Calhoun where he attended and graduated from Calhoun High School. Clifford began his Funeral Service career in 1957. He is a 1969 graduate of the Kentucky College of Mortuary Science and became a Georgia Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director in 1970. Clifford is an Ordained Baptist Minister and has pastored several churches in Gordon County. He is an avid fan of Southern Gospel Music and has sung with several quartets since 1956. While in high school he met and later married the former Mary Rogers, they have one daughter, Carmen Green, and two granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Green. They reside in Calhoun and are members of the South Calhoun Baptist Church where Clifford serves as the Director of Seniors Ministry. |
| Herman L. He attended Pepperell High School and is a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church in Silver Creek, GA. Herman was married to the former Miranda Cromer in 2004. He became a Licensed Minister in 1998 and was ordained in 2001. Herman joined the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in August of 2000. He is a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer and also is a Registered Transporter for the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. He enjoys going to church, spending time with family and friends, working with the public, and helping others. Herman says, “I’m thankful that God has placed me in the funeral industry to be able to meet new people and to share Christ with them.” |

Preston Alphin, Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer Email: gpa27834@yahoo.com Office Phone: (706) 234-5302 Fax: (706) 295-5000 Preston began his career in the funeral service industry in 1992 while attending East Carolina University. Upon graduation in 1994, he began a career with the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Greenville, North Carolina at the East Carolina University School of Medicine and the Pitt County Memorial Hospital. In 1999, he felt that he was not where he needed to be and he returned to the funeral industry in January of 2000. Preston moved to Rome in July of 2005 and joined the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in late 2005. He is a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer and is a Registered Transporter for the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. He is a member of the East View Baptist Church in Rome. |

She also graduated from Coosa Valley Technical College in 2000 with a Certified Customer Service Specialist diploma and was on the President’s List. Hope joined the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in October of 2000. She is married to Roger Rittenhouse and they live in Aragon with their two children, Jeremy and Candice. Hope loves cooking, listening to music, taking trips to Nashville, TN and spending time with her family. |

Jerry received a Bachelor of Ministry degree from Shorter College and is an ordained Southern Baptist Pastor. He has been a part of the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family since 1999. He serves families as a funeral assistant and as the after care minister. Jerry has been married to Renee’ Davis Brooks since 1976. They have a son, Adam J. Brooks, a daughter, Amy Brooks McElveen and her husband, Christopher Trey McElveen, and a grandson, Hudson James McElveen. Jerry and Renee’ serve the Lord as Pastor and Choir Director at West Union Baptist Church in Gordon County, GA. |
