Preston Alphin

            Preston began his career in the funeral service industry in 1992 while attending East Carolina University.  Upon graduation in1994, he began a career with the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Greenville, North Carolina at the East Carolina University School of Medicine and the Pitt County Memorial Hospital.  In 1999, he felt that he was not where he needed to be and he returned to the funeral industry in January of 2000.  Preston moved to Rome in July of 2005 and joined the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home family in late 2005.  He is a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer and is a Registered Transporter for the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. He is married to the former Christy Dobbs of Cedartown.  Preston and Christy live in Cedartown with their three children, Ryan, Misty and Tyler.  The are members of the Truth and Life Ministries in Lindale.
