Paul Donald Strickland

Mr. Paul Donald Strickland, age 54, 123 Juniper Way, Rome, passed away Friday morning, February 26, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Strickland was born in Rome, Georgia on June 11, 1955, son of the late Alvin Donald Strickland and the late Jeanette Pauline Werdeo Strickland. He was 1973 graduate of Pepperell High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Strickland worked for a number of years for Excel Electrical Technologies as a Lead Electrician.

Survivors include 3 sisters, his twin sister, Mrs. Patty Strickland Barnes and her husband, Steve, Rome, Mrs. Barbara Strickland Smith and her husband, Todd, Jackson, Wyoming, and Mrs. Julie Strickland Lindner and her husband, Scott, Hudson, Ohio; a brother, Jim Strickland, Jackson, Wyoming; nieces and nephews, Andrea Bate, Kelly Barnes, Megan Smith, Grant Smith, Tyler Strickland, Joby Strickland, Georgia Lindner, and Ben Lindner.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010, at 11 am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Earl Kellett and Mr. David Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Monday from 10 am until the service time. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Monday at 10:30 am and include: Steve Barnes, Eric Plants, Bradley Evans, Austin Temple, Joe Roach, and Kevin Bate.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary's Catholic School, 401 E. 7th Street, Rome, GA 30161.
