James Charles Jackson

Mr. James Charles Jackson, age 68, of 22 High Bluff Road, Rome, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at a local hospital.

Mr. Jackson was born in Piedmont, Alabama on July 26, 1941, son of the late James Jackson and the late Leomy Roberts Jackson. He was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Elizabeth Jackson, on May 23, 2009.

Survivors include his wife, the former, Jane Steed, to whom he was married on July 31, 1965; 2 sons, Dwight David Jackson, and James Franklin Jackson.

The family will have a memorial service on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 2pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Jason Cowart will officiate. At other hours they will be at the residence.
