Gary Gene Gossett

Mr. Gary Gene Gossett, age 51, 573 Relay Road, Silver Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Gossett was born in Floyd County on November 1, 1956, son of Earl Clayton Gossett and the former Thelma Etta Davenport. He was a 1974 graduate of Cedartown High School and was a member of the East Rome Baptist Church. Prior to his becoming disabled, he was a truck driver, being employed with the Martin-Brower Company for a number of years.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Kam Nicole Smith, and her husband, Brian, and Mrs. Amber Leigh Fleming, and her husband, Thomas Abe; 2 grandchildren, Wyatt Smith and Blake Smith; his parents, Thelma and Earl Gossett, Silver Creek.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Bruce, the Rev. Barry Snapp, and the Rev. Ricky Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with the Rev. Rayford Davenport officiating.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Saturday evening from 5 until 7pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence of the parents, Earl and Thelma Gossett, 601 Relay Road, Silver Creek.

Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Sunday at 1:30pm and include: Brian Smith, Abe Fleming, Larry Dooley, Chris Davenport, Ricky Davenport, Jr., and Ricky McCullough.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
