Helen Mildred Boaz

Mrs. Helen Mildred Boaz, age 79, of 3126 Cedartown Highway, Rome, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Boaz was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on December 7, 1930, daughter of the late Lawrence Frank Corbett and the late Mildred Lamb Corbett. She was a homemaker. She and her husband had just recently moved from California to Rome to be closer to family.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Doyle Boaz, to whom she was married on September 7, 1963; a daughter, Ms. Carolyn Sue Boaz, North Carolina; a son, Kenneth Boaz and his wife, Maria, Aragon; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan C. Boaz, Heather E. Boaz, and David T. Boaz.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010, at 4pm at Rome Memorial Park. The Rev. Earl Partain, Sr. will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday from 2:30pm until 3:30pm. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday at 3pm and include: Jonathan Boaz, David Boaz, Billy Hicks, Denny Cuzzort, Dwayne Yarbrough, and Arnold Brown.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
