Wallace Edgar Brumbelow

Mr. Wallace Edgar "Popa" Brumbelow, age 75, of 5117 Rockmart Highway, Silver Creek, went home to Heaven on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

Mr. Brumbelow was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on June 9, 1934, son of the late Clifford Brumbelow and the late Mary Elizabeth Hale Brumbelow. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attended the Wax Baptist Church. Mr. Brumbelow retired from General Motors.

Survivors include his wife, the former Jean Waters, to whom he was married on December 29, 1956; 2 daughters, Ms. Beth Hendrix and her fiance', Ken, Cartersville, and Mrs. Melody McCoury and her husband, Kenny, Rydal; a granddaughter, Miss Dani Brown, Rydal; a sister, Mrs. Christine Smith, Rome; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Fuller officiating. Private interment will be at Flint Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday from 1pm until the service time. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Honorary pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Friday at 2:30pm and include: Alvin Roberson, Bobby Roberson, Floyd Roberson, Tim Roberson, Ricky Waters, and Eugene Waters.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
