Nancy Gaynell Williams Payne

Mrs. Nancy Williams Payne, age 57, 123 Marshall Lane, Rome, passed away Friday morning, February 5, 2010, in a local medical center.

She was born in Floyd County, January 13, 1953, daughter of Neola Bowers Mount and the late T. J. Mount. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Judy Wilson and Kathy Keveer, and her fiancee, E.J. Cronic.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandy Williams, and her companion, Amanda Hickman, Cedartown; a son, Jody Williams, and his wife, Donna, Rome; 3 grandchildren, Jim Miller, Derek Towe and Skylar Hickman; her mother, Mrs. Neola Mount, Rome; 3 sisters, Brenda Ray, Cedartown, Vickie Lawler, and her husband, Woody, Rome, and Shirley Carver, Rome; 2 brothers, Tommy Mount, Rome, and Larry Mount, Rome; a special nephew, Tim Williams, and his wife, Tiffany, and their children, Evan, Samantha, and Brittany Williams, Rome; several nieces and nephews, and her long time friend and companion, Edward Payne, Rome.

Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 11am at the graveside in Cave Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Bert Brooks will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the residence of a nephew, Tim Williams, 411 Tolbert Street, Rome.

Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Monday morning
t 10 am and include: Eddie Payne, Alan Ashley, Nick Ashley, Jim Williams and Montae Jackson.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
